What is AssetLens?+
AssetLens is a complete fixed asset management platform with 24 modules covering the entire asset lifecycle — registration, multi-book depreciation, transfers, disposal, maintenance, lease accounting, CAPEX budgeting, physical verification, insurance, and 52+ reports. Fully compliant with Companies Act 2013, Income Tax Act 1961, and IFRS/Ind AS.
Is AssetLens cloud-based or on-premise?+
Primarily cloud-based SaaS. Enterprise customers (5,000+ assets) can opt for on-premise deployment.
How is pricing calculated?+
Per asset per annum. Starter (up to 250): ₹75/asset. Professional (251–5,000): ₹50/asset. Enterprise: custom. All exclusive of GST.
Depreciation
What depreciation methods are supported?+
Straight Line (SLM), Written Down Value (WDV), Double Declining Balance, and Units of Production. Configurable per book and category.
Can I run multiple depreciation books?+
Yes — up to 3: Corporate (Companies Act), Tax (IT Act block depreciation), and IFRS (Ind AS). Each has independent methods and schedules.
How does block depreciation work?+
Assets are grouped into IT Act blocks (e.g. Block VI: computers at 40% WDV). Depreciation is on the entire block's WDV after additions and disposals, not individual assets.
What happens when useful life changes?+
Prospective recalculation by default — remaining depreciable amount spread over new remaining life. Retroactive recalculation also available.
Operations
Can I transfer assets between locations?+
Yes — inter-location, inter-department, and inter-company transfers with configurable approval workflows and full audit trail.
What disposal methods are available?+
Sale, Scrap, Write-Off, Donation, and Exchange. Both full and partial disposal (split asset) supported with auto gain/loss calculation.
How do I import existing assets?+
Download the XLSX template, fill in asset details, upload for validation. Separate Opening Balance template for go-live migration with cost, accumulated depreciation, and WDV.
Reports & Compliance
How many reports are available?+
52+ built-in reports across 8 categories. All exportable to XLSX with formatted headers, or printable as PDF.
Is the audit trail immutable?+
Yes. Every action logged with timestamp, user, action type, and details. Cannot be edited or deleted by any user including administrators.
